The French colonial architecture in Da Lat

Like many cities around Vietnam, Dalat has a lot of historical buildings in city.

The French had planned and constructed  Dalat city as a place of administration, resort and travel. Many building from that time were restored, renovated and were used in good condition by today. Some of them were used for tourists attraction only.

Those colonial buildings are important parts of Da Lat, they also represents the soul, the image and symbol of this romantic city.

Dalat Teacher's Training College is famous with the high the bell tower. It was designed by architects Moncet and Ernest Hebrard in 1927. According to the International Union, this construction is one of the World’s typical 1,000 constructions in 20th century.

Building Extension of RMIT University - Located at District 7, Ho Chi Minh City

The second academic building is being developed on the the Saigon Campus to extend the capacity of the campus and support the growth demands of the campus.

The building forms part of the campus masterplan, integrating with the first academic building. A mixture of general teaching spaces, staff accommodation and specialist facilities are catered for in the facility.

It is intended that AB2 will primarily provide a series of teaching and learning spaces for all disciplines currently catered for in Vietnam. However the building also must provide a series of specialist learning spaces, mainly focussed around digital design/media and communication.

Binh's House_ New option has been released with liberal lines of hand sketch.

As having some minor changes in function requirement and project schedule, this time,  I am going to propose a new option for Binh's House. And i hope it might be a nice and interesting option. You could see this change reflected in liberal lines of sketch, flexible interior layout and the shape of furniture also being not standardisation.
To make this idea come into reality, I would have a lot of work ahead, such as draw it on computer with CAD programme, make many detail drawings with some technical issues as well as choose appropriate construction method.

Exterior facade is also a modern style. I have put some curved lines in main elevation to make it look elegantly. Beside of that, an light lourve_screen is also being added to outside of bathroom window. This will help the user feel comfortable when using restroom with some personal activities.

Stacking Green House in a tropical city.

Stacking Green House
Front View
The house is a typical tube house constructed on the plot size of 4X20m in HCM City's District 2.
The distance between the planters and the height of the planters can be adjusted according to the height of the plants, which varies from 25cm to 40cm.
"To water plants and for easy maintenance, we use the automatic irrigation pipes inside the planters. We named this tropical, unique and eco-friendly house Stacking Green because its facade is filled with vigorous and vital greenery," said Nghia.
The green facade and roof top garden protect its inhabitants from direct sunlight, street noise and pollution, Nghia said.
